We have worked as the events team for the AOP for the past five years, and since January 2021 as their marketing team, with responsibility for managing their website, newsletter strategy, content marketing, and social media. We run the annual, industry-leading AOP Digital Publishing Awards, managing the 2020 “pivot to virtual”: driving revenues with our awards entry marketing strategy, managing the entry and virtual judging process, elevating the profile of finalists and sponsors by creating a “Guide to Digital Publishing Excellence” video series, adding value for sponsors through a virtual awards ceremony with added interaction.

We have established the respected City Nation Place Awards, increasing entries to record levels in 2020.

The No-4 team has provided logistical support for the Effie Awards UK, and in 2022, the team stepped up to help shape the overarching event strategy. 2022 will see the first addition of a Summit ahead of the Awards ceremony, and the No-4 team has been integral in delivering the enhanced offering by working with suppliers, the venue team, and more to ensure that all the pieces are in place.

In 2022, Verlinvest launched their Brands For Good Forum, inviting the disruptors and change makers driving purposeful business to share their insights and experience at a half-day summit followed by a networking dinner in the OXO Tower. Throughout, the No-4 team managed the event logistics, allowing the Verlinvest team to focus on the content with none of the other event stresses. From liaising with sponsors and speakers to working with the venue, the team expertly handled all challenges as they arose and ensured a polished event experience.

We have worked with the World Media Group to devise and deliver the annual World Media Awards since their launch in 2016 – the Awards project we manage has grown to include an annual industry survey, “how to write a winning entry” session for agencies, a website archive of case studies, and video collateral to showcase the winners and the World Media Group’s publisher brands.


I worked with No-4 to set up a completely new set of awards which launched in March 2016, called the World Media Awards. Clare Dewhirst was instrumental in the success of the awards, she helped shape the entire programme from the beginning to the end. We had a very small budget in our first year but you would not have known, the awards event itself oozed style and professionalism and as an outsider you would have assumed that we had double the budget to work with.
